In My Moment of Weakness

Written by Rochelle Moyd- 5/29/2008

In my moment of weakness, will I put all my faith and trust in You?
Or will the storms of life tear me down, and doubt that your Word is true?
But Lord what do I do when my faith is weak,
And the doubt in my mind has reached it's peak?
Where do I go when the noise of life is so loud, that I could barely hear you speak,
And the "worlds" way of coping is all I have left to seek?
I cry tears of confusion, and my heart is all bruised and
I don't know where I'm going,
I look in the miror and I see that my flesh-man is growing,
I've got the Word in my right hand and the "world" in the other,
I gotta choose carefully because only one can bring me eternal comfort.
Lord I climb this mountain that You have set before me, and I have almost reached the top,
And yet I stop
To take a look at my past,
And yet I hear you say "the struggle is almost over, its not going to last"
"Look up, move foward" You say,
But still I stay,Yielded, stuck in the quicksand of my circumstance, where my future and past collide,
I bear witness to your outstreched hand,
So that I'm able to stand until the storms of life subside
So as I look at my right hand which holds theWord of life,
And I look at my left hand which holds the "world's" delight
I'm in my moment of weakness as the journey to my destiny is almost done,
In my mind I know the battle's not mine, so in reality I've won
So I set aside my past, no longer looking back, but looking foward towards the things I must pursue
So right now, Lord, in my moment of weakness I take the "Word of Life" and put my faith and trust in You.

To all the people who are struggling to find their way, and are almost at the point of giving up. My message to you is don't give up, keep moving towards the things of God. Don't look back at your past, because your destiny is not in your past. Look to God in the midst of your situation and trust in Him, because it doesn't matter what you're going through, what matters is where you're going to. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not unto your own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.
Move foward, don't look back, your blessing is right there in front of you... Don't Give Up!

Victory in the Midst of Trial

Life is full of ups and downs. While we are on the mountaintop, in a state full of bliss we believe nothing could hold us back. We’ve reached our plateau, and nothing can bring us down. But the fact of the matter is that although you may be in a serene season, when all the flowers seem to be blooming, fall season is right around the corner.

Fall season, to me, is the ugliest season of them all. All the trees get stripped of their beauty. They stand there bare and lifeless, and on-lookers can see all of their flaws. The grass, that was once green and soft has become brown and withered. And so it is with us, when we are in our fall season, or what most may call ‘a season of trials’. It seems like we are being stripped bare of everything that made us feel content and happy with life; we are pushed out of our comfort zone and into the combat zone. The confidence in ourselves and in God that once was at an all time high has shot down the scale into insecurity. It is at that very moment when a decision must be made. Are you going to stand and fight or become absorbed in your circumstance and be defeated? Jesus said that we would face trials. He never said where, when, and what the trial would be, but he said that it would come. He also said in John 16:33, “ These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: BUT be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”.

Trials exist because there is a combat between the Kingdom of God and the devil. God has different approaches when it comes to delivering us. Sometimes, He will intervene and deliverance will come instantaneously. Other times, He will seize the attack and pull us out of the situation preventing us from making big mistakes. Then there are times when we must stay in and fight. But the good news is that if we stay in and fight, God equips us with the tools to win. There are three tools to consider: faith, prayer, and perseverance (James 1:2-3). All three are strengthened each time we use them when a trial occurs. Faith tells us that, “we will obtain victory”; prayer gives us the help we need to win; and perseverance gives us the strength to endure until the end. And when we reach victory we realize that we are actually better off because of that trial. Here is a word of encouragement to all those who are in their fall season: spring is right around the corner, and victory is coming. Your leaves will grow back, and you will stand bigger, brighter, and wiser then ever before.
